Out of TownBelmont Station

[rating: 5]

Despite its name, Belmont Station Beer Store and Cafe actually sits one block north of Belmont Street in a sleepy residential neighbourhood on Stark Street. Lunchgot Pho?

[rating:4]

Got Pho is a Vietnamese Restaurant located on Nanaimo Street just half a block down from Bon’s off Broadway. The restaurant’s reference to the Got Milk campaign is cheesy enough to turn some people away. But I’ve been to this location before under a different name and different owners. DinnerLandmark Hot Pot House

[rating:4]

Landmark Hot Pot House on Cambie street plays host to those seeking hot pot, fondue, shabu shabu, or whatever you want to call it. It’s a communal dining experience that depends largely on the quality of ingredients, preparation of the food, and quality of broth available. Although it appears some portions of Landmark’s menu are in English, knowing Chinese, or dining with friends that know the language could help make the experience smoother.
