What’s deep fried, light, airy and incredibly sweet? Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, that infamous US franchise opened up a location in Delta a few years ago. Their speciality? Doughnuts that look like mini alien space ships.

DinnerLin Chinese Cuisine

Lin Chinese Cuisine on West Broadway appear to be known for great Xiao Long Bao. Lin is decorated with rich, dark, luscious accents, black, mahagony and green. It reminds of old school Chinese flicks when kung fu masters wore dresses and their eyebrow hairs were almost as long as their beard. Decor aside, the question is does Lin’s  Xiao Long Bao meet up to the hype?

BreakfastTwo Chefs and a Table

Since the original posting of this article, Two Chefs and a Table has closed. A Richmond location (that we have not reviewed) is still in operation.

It sounds like an Internet meme, but Two Chefs and a Table is a French Restaurant that sits on the corner of Alexander and Gore at the edge of Gastown. The rustic, French cottage exterior and purposefully scattered foliage makes the restaurant an oasis on an island in a sea of disheveled buildings and shopping cart jockeys.

Argo Cafe is little diner hidden away in the industrial area on Ontario Street. They serve a pretty wide variety of food, from good old greasy spoon classics to pastas, curry, fish and Chinese food — all with friendly smiles and an upbeat attitude.
