Boulangerie La Parisienne, on Mainland Street in Yaletown, is a French bakery carrying an assortment of desserts, breads and pre-made sandwiches. It’s a nice place to go when you want to grab something on the run. Although the prepared sandwiches may be convenient, it’s the breads and desserts that are the standouts.

Campagnolo is a casual Italian restaurant located on Main street, just on the the outskirts of downtown Vancouver. Setting up shop next to the likes of the Ivanhoe in a still developing area is either a sign of foresight or craziness, or perhaps little bit of both. As we walked from our parked car, we were quickly accosted by a local who was delirious over the apparent double rainbow that was happening early in the evening. No, it wasn’t this guy, and yes — we aren’t pulling you’re leg.

SnacksGreen Tea Oreo

While lining up at Donald’s Market to pay for our groceries, we noticed a box of Green Tea Oreo bars sitting all by their lonesome. The bars looked sad and a bit dusty, but the expiry date was still good, so it came home with us.
