They got their start through the crowd funding indiegogo platform, tempting patrons with promises of magical sausage cards and a really good time. It seems the people of Vancouver (literally) ate it up surpassing their funding goal and ensuring Chinatown residents would get a solid source of Currywurst.

Bend, Oregon’s GoodLife Brewing Company descends from the Cascadian mountains to bestow upon us the Descender IPA: a copper-toned Indian Pale Ale with distinctive hoppy tones, but really nice caramel-like finish. Make a break south of the border to Belmont Station to snatch your bottle of the good life.

El Camino’s takes some of the Mexican pop-cultural vibe and plants it firmly on Main Street. The Latin American street food influenced menu features a variety of familiar mainstays like tapas, tacos and empanadas then venturing into less familiar territory with arepas (stuffed white corn pockets), bocadillos (Mexican style sub sandwich), and antojitos (side dishes).

The Northwest Ale from Victoria’s Spinnaker Gastro Brewpub is a Cascadian influenced brew: well-hopped, with a golden orange tint and surprisingly balanced floral hints. Feels at home at a farmhouse picnic table or a beachfront porch. Available at various fine independents on and off the island.
